Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. You can confirm it by opening the Network tab in developer tools: you will not see a request carrying your file. In fact, after the page loads, you can disconnect the internet and keep working.

Why is it faster than other online image resizers?

Because there is no upload or server queue to wait for. Other pages that also process in-browser still limit how many images you can resize without signing up or paying. Here the limit is your own device, not a plan.

Is there a size or quantity limit?

The only real limit is your device memory, because the work is done by your computer and not by us. On a normal desktop, 50 MP images process without issue, and resizing runs in a separate Web Worker so you can keep using the page while a large batch finishes.

Does the image lose quality?

Reducing the size always discards pixels, which is inevitable. What you control is the compression: with PNG the output does not lose anything else, and with JPG or WebP you can adjust the quality to find the right balance between size and sharpness.

Can I keep the original proportions?

Yes, and it is enabled by default. When you type the width, the height is calculated automatically. If you disable it, you can force exact dimensions even if that distorts the picture.

What formats does it support?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and GIF are accepted as input. You can export to JPG, PNG or WebP, or keep the original format.

Is there any cost?

No. Browser-based tools do not use our infrastructure, so they do not consume credits and there is no usage limit.
